New guy here, but old in age.. It's going to be great to hear some of these older programs, ones that I remember from 'way back when'.. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute some material to share with everyone here.. In the meantime, I'll be 'looking' around to see what there is to 'see' & 'hear'...

Welcome wldgoos. Nice to have you with us in this vault of vampires, this mansion of mystery, this haven of horrors. Ooops... that's E.G.'s line. Well, welcome anyway. Hope you find a few things that take you down that nostalgic lane to yesteryear.
Best,
Wade

Welcome aboard wldgoos; hope you enjoy the forum. This is a fun show to rediscover from long ago. This past Superbowl Sunday, I rediscovered the Mystery Theater on a whimsical search of the Internet and was surprised to learn how long the show ran and how many episodes were produced.
Each week, Wade posts a show for all of us to listen to and post feedback if we like. It's a good way to circle the wagons on a regular basis. And with the vast number of episodes, it's a good way to decide what to listen to next. I will probably never hear all of them because there's so many, so recommendations of favorites are always helpful for me.
When someone mentions their favorite 5 or 10, I always make note of them and transfer them over to my mp3 player, to include them in the next random selection.
So have you been able to download the episodes?
Do you have a favorite that you remember from the original airing? My favorites were the Edgar Allen Poe stories from the original run. Lately, I enjoyed one called "The Ninth Volume" and another one called "Hickory Dickory Doom"; "The Summer People" is also good.
Again, welcome aboard... enjoy the show.

After I first discovered the internet, in the late 90s, one of the first things I searched for was old time radio shows to listen to, specifically RMT. Unfortunately, for years I couldn't find many. I am not sure if I was looking in the wrong places or if there were still some copyright issues preventing distribution. Eventually I discovered this site and others and began rediscovering RMT. Fortunately, the show is just as good as I remember it. The series included a fun mix of the supernatural, comedy, drama and mystery. And unlike some older shows, most episodes still feel fresh, not dated.
