Hi,
long, long time cbsrmt fan, but I just discovered the cbsrat and would love to get the shows for my kids. I noticed mediamax being used for sharing in older threads, so I just set up an account.
Can anyone hook me up with the shows - ericl24 at mediamax? i can't access torrents on my computer.
thanks,
eric

MediaMax have lost everything I had stored on there and now there is no way to transfer them. Hopefully someone who still has those shows on MediaMax can help.

Mediamax seemed to be behaving itself tonight, so I've tried sending you my set of RAT.
Let me know if it arrives or not.

Thanks again. I can see what you mean about mediamax - i'm gradually getting most of the files dl'ed after endless hiccups...

Pirate Bay has torrents for CBSRAT, but there does not appear to be anyone seeding at this time. Anyone care to make this available?
I've never listened to any of the episodes, but from their description they sound like they're better suited for the kiddos.
My daugher listened to a couple of RMT episodes, and while she really loved them (and the whole concept of radio drama), she ultimately decided it was a little too intense for her and that she'll wait a couple of years before trying it again. In the meantime, she'd like to listen to something tamer.

Yes. I will start seeding them this evening after I put up the Show Of The Week. Be patient. My upload bandwidth is not that great, but if you persist you will get them.

There were 52 total and we have all of them in the torrents available here.

Is RMT in the public domain? Is that why it is ok to download RMT as opposed to a current song for instance?

This question comes up from time to time. And it is a good question. I can't give you a legal answer as I do not know how the law reads on this subject. I can tell you that Himan Brown's granddaughter is a member of this forum and she has addressed this question before. My understanding of her wishes (she is the one responsible for Mr. Brown and his property) is that they do not necessarily encourage trading of the RMT shows but they also do not plan to stop the trading as long as it is done freely amongst fans and collectors of the show who have no interest in making commercial profit from Mr. Brown's work. They will certainly pursue anyone who is involved in the sale of his works. Our intention here is not to make a profit but, rather, to advance the legacy of a man we believe to be one of the greatest men ever involved in radio. We certainly wish to completely respect the wishes of Himan Brown and Melina Brown as far as how the shows may be traded amongst fans.

I'm no expert, but RMT is recent enough that I would assume it is not in the public domain. Nevertheless, shows can be downloaded from Archive.org, and the folks that run that site are usually pretty vigilent at pulling any material that is not in PD. Maybe Himan Brown's estate has given tacit approval there.
