I had an idea for a website that I've wanted to do for quite a while. It's really simple actually. I started thinking about it a couple of years ago.
I'm a HUGE classic movie fan, and I have a big collection. Unfortunately, I work all day long and I do not have free time to sit in front of the TV each evening and watch a movie (or other programming).
As I like to listen to OTR programs and document them, I also like to watch movies when I can (usually on my iPod a few minutes at a time) but I've never been able to document and comment on my viewing experiences.
The idea I had was to have a blog about classic movies. It won't be comprehensive but rather minimalist.
If you've read my reviews/logs of radio programs, I like to set the stage. I don't include loads of personal comments - just a few when it seems appropriate. I rarely include spoilers. I just like to whet the appetite of the listener (or viewer) in the pre-listening (or viewing) stage.
I don't like to read long, in depth, comprehensive reviews before I watch a movie. Just a few words will do it usually. What it is about is good.
So, I've wanted to do a movie blog for a long time and I finally decided to do it.
It isn't much yet, but over time, hopefully it will be more.
Maybe I'll find some others who want to contribute. If not, that's okay. It's just meant to be fun.
