Hi everyone,
I have never heard any of this series. I was just wondering how you would compare it to CBSRMT. Do you think if you love mystery theater, that most would very likely enjoy this show as well? Or would it be limited to a taste for any certain genre of radio shows?
In short, do you think I would probably like it?

Thanks,

Vicki

Hi, I listened to some of this, not all, but some, I have the complete collection sent to me from Kent a couple years ago...

If you like radio theatre in general I think this is a good series, it is hard for me to compare to CBSRMT, as the themes in Sears/MRT were different as indicated in the description.

But they were interesting shows I thought if you liked the genre for the particular episode you were listening to.

I happened to like the X-Minus one series more, but only because I am a sci-fi buff.

I thought the general mills radio adventure theatre was pretty good with Tom Bosely (Charlies Angels freaks know who he is). That show seemed like CBSRMT but with classic tales like 20,000 leagues under the sea and others.

I guess if you like radio drama then you would like this Sears/MRT also... too bad kids today do not get any real radio drama/theatre experiences like we had in the the 60's, 70's and 80's.

I am 40 years old (this week yeah !) and when I talk to my teenagers, they could care less... too bad... oh well, maybe there will be a revival of interest in Radio Theatre someday... maybe they will run out of the raw materials to make TV screens :)

Tom Bosely (Charlies Angels freaks know who he is).

Tom Bosley was on Happy Days, not Charlie's Angels. (Bosley was a character's name on Charlie's Angels.)

Answering the original question is hard. Really you should listen to 4 or 5 of these programs to get the feel of it.

It's different than CBSRMT. A little cheesy but hey, it is what it is.

Your right, I was got confused, he was on Happy Days -- I was thinking the name Bosely as you said was a character on that show.. my mistake..

Yes, Mike. That foul odor disgraced my nose too. It seems to have disappeared, though. You just detected it before I did.
