I noticed from listening to several episodes starting in the spring of 1976 (I'm up to August and early Sept. now), that there is some extra audio feedback, like they did the show from a different studio or perhaps on a soundstage rather than a booth.

Did they change studios that year? That can only be heard in the excellent quality recordings. I'm not sure if I like it or dislike it.....I'm just wondering.

It sounds like everyone is talking through an echo chamber, so in the horror episodes a ghost talking would sound no different than the humans.

The CLEAR you can hear!!

WABC in New York used to have a built in Reverb that caused an echo effect, was kind of cool actually. The station I listened to CBSRMT on was WOR in NY they did not have a reverb. Its possible that when the files where encoded from tape to MP3 a filter was applied that caused a slight echo effect as well.

I use a program called audacity to do my encodes from tape and the Linux build of this file has a ton of filters.

I'm not sure what stations those particular episodes I have were on or what caused the reverb.
There were stories I've heard from WWOR though.
