Hi to all,
The RMT files made it to my account, however it appears there is a file size limit on the free account that prevents me from downloading files the size of most RMT files. Do I have that right? If I upgrade how do I pay? Can you pay a month at a time or use a check or cancel and go back to the free account? I just have dial up and would like to have some info before I proceed. Once again I think this is a really nice thing you do here!

Yes, the limit is 10MB files - larger than that and you need a paid account. You can do one month at a time, and go back to the free account whenever.

I paid with a credit card. You can contact support@mediamax.com to get payment options. It may say on their site too. It's been over two years since I looked around for it - back when it was Streamload.com. Wow, it would take some time to download on dial-up.

I can't explain why, but with only the free account I've had no trouble downloading 140MB videos off of MediaMax. I haven't found anything that restricts the download size so they may have changed the rules from what they were in the Streamload days. With a dial-up connection 1GB of free downloading may be plenty, even with a download manager. You must download individual files, mrscottishman. Do not try to download a whole folder at a time. Hope that gets it going for you.

Someone sent me the entire (200+ episodes) of the late 1940s / early 1950s ESCAPE radio series in high-quality enhanced format. Only one problem: It seems that MediaMax no longer allows free account holders to download files over 10 MB in size. That's the message I'm getting!

Yet less than 2 weeks ago I downloaded HQ versions of several episodes I hadn't previously heard of Have Gun Will Travel, and they were 22 MB apiece. What's the deal? Should I upgrade my account?

I just finished downloading a 144MB file and I have only a free account. Is MediaMax giving you a message that the file is too big? I haven't found any restrictions on file size with the free account. I hope they're not changing it.

Seems pretty inconsistent between users, files, days of the week..... ??
