1. THE OLD ONES ARE HARD TO KILL. Charming as a first episode, but with the sinister quality that denotes the series. So-so recording. Detective-9.
2. THE RETURN OF THE MORESBYS. Justice prevails over greed. A fun story with revenge and supernatural lines. Ok recording. Supernatural-8.
3. THE BULLET. The first sad destiny story. Inevitable conclusion unknown. Great drama. Supernatural-9.
4. LOST DOG. A very nasty husband and a decent heroine equal great characters in a good story. Drama-9.
5. NO HIDING PLACE. Rather typical bad guy from the past haunts ex con who’s made good. But it’s the CBSRMT so it holds up. Mystery Drama-8
6. HONEYMOON WITH DEATH.
7. I WARN YOU THREE TIMES. A nifty mix of strong characters with the sense of doom the series often carries. Mystery-Horror-8
8. COLD STORAGE. Gothic horror, creepy lead and just desserts make this a winner. Horror-9
9. DEATH RIDES A STALLION. Revenge visas VI a horse, but it really doesn’t work. Horror-5
10. THE RESIDENT. A fearfully reclusive woman finds strength and courage after dealing with an interloper. Suspense-6
11. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE. An emotionally harsh drama. A lesson is learned in the bitter end. Drama-8
12. YOU CAN DIE AGAIN. The twains meet in a so-so story. Drama-6
13. A RING OF ROSES. A strange story that ends up muddled, wet and droopy. Horror-5
14. THE GIRL WHO FOUND THINGS. A down to earth mystery that has lots of buried treasures. Strong characterizations. Mystery-8
15. THE CHINAMAN BUTTON- A great premise is taken to the extreme, and all the more interesting with a sympathetic character turned into Frankenstein. Drama-9
16. DEAD FOR A DOLLAR. The “right” guy is killed but the mystery fizzles and is less than satisfying. Mystery-6
17. A VERY OLD MAN. Real human drama, basic but extraordinary. A very good episode. Drama-9
18. AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. Evil incarnate disguised behind a good deed. The revelation is satisfying and spooky. Mystery-9
19. DEADLY HONEYMOON. A very suspicious new husband is actually the recipient of a cruel joke. Mystery-7
20. SPEAK OF THE DEVIL. The devil as a growling rapist in an ok story. Horror-7
21. THE RING OF TRUTH. Clever and interesting. What price to absolute truth? Drama-9
22. TIME AND AGAIN. Great atmosphere, characters and an evil “thing”. A favorite. Horror-10
23. THREE WOMAN. A ghost and a susceptible writer, or an annoyance and a wimp? Supernatural-6
24. THE MAN WHO HEARD VOICES. Super! A devoted husband finally gives up on sickly wife by killing her. At what price? Drama-9
25. MOTHER LOVE. So creepy and with an ineluctable conclusion that is real horror. Horror-10
26. THE MAN WHO ASKED FOR YESTERDAY. A deal with devil always runs sour as a shot up criminal is tempted on his deathbed. Good stuff. Supernatural/crime-9
27. DEAD RINGER. Lots of twists in a good crime/mystery. 9
28. A GHOSTLY GAME OF DEATH. In this house there are truly scary ghost and truly sad ones. Anger and hate is maintained by hidden forces. Horror-9
29. THE SIGN OF THE BEAST. All of the right stuff, greed and thoughtlessness, revenge and horror. To bad it wasn’t carried all of the way. Or maybe not. Horror-9
30. HERE GOES THE BRIDE. A dud. The actors and story are more dead then the “ghost”. Mystery-4
31. THE LADY WAS A TIGER. Annoying, predictable spy story. If somebody dies-so what? An unbelievable story that has no fun. Detective-5
32. AFTER THE VERDICT. A tight story with characters to love and hate. Real drama with unpredictable results. Detective-8
33. CONSPIRACY TO DEFRAUD. A so-so potboiler. Tough guy stuff. Detective-6
34. THE DEADLY HOUR. Dark and desperate. The tale of a runt with an undeveloped conscience. He’s as spooky as they get. Horror-9
35. DEADMAN’S MOUNTAIN. The powerful will of a billionaire business man vs. an ancient Indian spirit. Really no contest! Supernatural-8
36. A DREAM OF DEATH. Incomplete
37. DIG ME DEADLY.
38. UNDER GRAVE SUSPICION. Tremendous atmosphere, all closed in and buried. But a storm exposes madness and futility. Mystery-9
39. A LADY NEVER LOSES HER HEAD. Not a bad story, but why is the plot obvious to all but Mary. This to the point of silliness. Mystery-6
40. THE WALKING CORPSE. Zombies, with great characters as both protagonist and antagonist result in a quality episode. Horror-9
41. BLIZZARD OF TERROR. Super acting in an eventually less than believable conclusion turn a 9 into an 8. Mystery-8
42. SEA FEVER. How to kill all on a ship, and why. Mystery-8
43. THE WALLS OF JERICHO. Lots of fun and suspense as an old waiter pays back the insulated rich. Supernatural-9
44. THE HORLA. An old novel of sci-fi horror. The Horla are real and so persistent! Horror-8
45. THE HORSE THAT WASN’T FOR SALE.
46. THE EDGE OF DEATH.
47. A CHOICE OF WITNESSES. Really interesting watching a process come to life (or death). Mystery-9
48. OUT OF SIGHT.
49. PROGNOSIS NEGATIVE. 6-5-3, Listen to me. An excellent, disturbing tale of a man with nothing left. Drama-9.
50. THIS WILL KILL YOU. A demon expert vs. a reviewer who turns tough, smart and the tables. Great characterizations and acting. Supernatural-9
51. A LONG TIME TO DIE. Two men with unmet obligations switch identities and thus add to their burdens. Science Fiction-7
52. THE SENDING. Excellent spooker. The imagination theater works as only radio can. Horror-9
53. THE CREATURE FROM THE SWAMP. Kinda slow, kinda predictable. The attempt is in the psychology. Mystery-6
54. THE THING IN THE CAVE. What is found in the cave? Fear and determination. Mystery-8.
55. A SACRIFICE IN BLOOD. Interesting and as many episodes, fatalistic. One’s assumptions are proven wrong. Supernatural/Mystery-7
56. A LITTLE NIGHT MURDER. Detective falls for victim to be in a traditional radio detective story. Detective-8
57. THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER. A Poe tale that is thick in dark fear and despair. Dismal to the end. Horror-9
58. SEA OF TROUBLES. A good mystery where the murderer is rather likeable and only let down by others. Clever but caught. Mystery-9
59. FRANKENSTEIN REVISITED.
60. THE GHOST AT THE GATE. It feels Victorian, but unfortunately it’s retched Victorian. A dud of a ghost story. Supernatural-4.
61. ORDEAL BY FIRE. Hot stuff! Tight script, fun characters and Promo feels the heat. Reminiscent of an Anthony Berkeley mystery. Mystery-9
62. DIARY OF A MADMAN. An intelligent man rationalizes his urges to murder. The natural law must be obeyed! Mystery-drama-9
63. DEATH BY WHOSE HANDS. A musician has a chance to play another tune thus handing himself a future of somber tones. Horror-8
64. IT’S SIMPLY MURDER. A worm decides to kill his wife and the results are fun. Mystery-8
65. THE UNEARTHLY GIFT. Straight forward radio drama of a woman seeing an unpleasant future. Drama-8
66. THE BLACK CAT. A black cat, unrealistic wife and sophisticated letch add up to an unbelievable and even less interesting story. Even the cat is unlikable. Supernatural-5
67. THE PHARAOH'S CURSE.
68. DIE! YOU’RE ON MAGIC CAMERA. Greed, murder and a camera that can see crime in the future. The episode plays like an old fashioned twilight zone. Supernatural-8
69. THE THING INSIDE. When the glass ball is destroyed what is deep inside is let loose. The result is murder. Horror-9
70. THE LOCKED ROOM. What is behind the locked door, and more importantly the characters’ motives. Murder Mystery-8
71. THE MURDER MUSEUM. Dark and dismal from the start. The destroyed son’s fate can only be further destruction. Horror-9
72. OUT OF FOCUS. This fellow really does have life’s values out of focus. His fate is sealed and good riddance. Supernatural-8
73. STRANGE COMPANY. The unscrupulous young taking advantage of the vulnerable old. Terrific acting and plot. Drama-9
74. ONLY THE DEAD REMEMBER. Very hard, very harsh, very good. Drama with surprises and characters that count. Drama-10
75. MEN WITHOUT MOUTHS. A Baritone with a criminal history, men without mouths and an attempt at redemption. Mystery-9
76. THE HORROR WITHIN. Religiosity and powers vs. Carnal and subconscious motivations. A heavy and ultimately dark tale. Supernatural-8
77. A PORTRAIT OF DEATH. The art may be draining but the intrigue is sustaining. Supernatural-8
78. THE WISHING STONE. It takes a while to get going and finishes up in true CBSRMT fashion-no free lunches. Supernatural-7
79. THE GHOST DRIVER. What’s behind the wheel is every bit as mysterious and suspect as some of the characters. Clever and interesting. Mystery-9
80. THE HAND. A romance of horror and characterization. Magnificent! Horror-10
81. SUNRISE TO SUNSET. A vampire story with moral and obligatory overtones. It’s an ok story with so-so acting. Supernatural-5

M.U.R.D.E.R..........( 11/25/76)
A pyschological drama with supernatural elements left open as a possibility. The story is somewhat engaging, but the acting spells out e.n.e.r.t.a.i.n.m.e.n.t. Drama-8

The Sealed Room Murder........10/23/75

Menace vs Virtue? An oft used theme with a Western setting...then CBRMT takes over. Da Silva and Gwynne shine, the mystery heats up and Martin explodes as Doomdorf. A Jewel. Mystery-10

Help Somebody- 8/18/75

A lot happens in 50 min. It is best desribed as a beautiful story. It is so due to the deep perceptive element that is the cement of the story, though this is only revealed in the end. It, like life, needs to be reached for. Drama 10 ......UNTIL NEXT TIME

Pure enertainment. A meaningful story that is fun as well. Humanity even hangs in the balance. Just hope it doesn't rain too much! Supernatural-10

Not a bad tale. Things that have bumped in the night get bumped off. Even the hat falls off. An interesting mystery to ponder. Mystery-7.
