Review: Well produced and acted, but somewhat stretching concept (Stars: John Lithgow)

Description: Set in WWII as a country woodsman finds himself in a dilemma as he as chooses to help a Jewish women and her grandfather as the Nazis chase them. The grandfather is imbued with a mystical power that he claims can bring a champion to defend them.
Review: Good moral, not too cheesy. Solid performances

Review: Well written, well performed. Ending telegraphed somewhat, but still engaging.

The Silent Partner

Description: A CEO gets kidnapped in a South American jungle along with his secretary. When they escape their captors, they find that they have become the proverbial fish out of frying pan and into the fire and they have only their wits and each as their survival assets.
Review: Solidly written, well performed and witty. Sort of a throw back to an old tongue-in-cheek adventure/romance.

Review: Good performances, nice potential but the ending is weak.

Review: Witty dialogue and a decent script (Mason Adams stars).
The witty script save this one from parody.

Review: Pretty much a simple police procedural mystery.

Review: Ending almost sabotages this one.

Goodbye, Carl Erich

Description: The setting is Germany in the 1930’s and an eminent doctor is hounded by a women to help her mute son. After giving in, the doctor discovers that the boy is actually a grown man who has been psychologically traumatized. The doctor restores the man’s voice and confidence and the man strives to great heights in Germany’s new political landscape. But how dangerous is this new political landscape. (Stars: Kevin McCarthy)
Review: Is some protracted at the start, but has a nice stinger of an ending.
