"The Child's Cat Paw" Airdate: 770517

Written by Ian Martin

Cast:
Sarah Parker, Bryna Raeburn, Guy Sorel, Earl Hammond, Evie Juster

Story recap:
The story revolves around a family and their little girl snow bound in the country in the middle of the winter. The girl starts to communicate with her cat "Fanny" which she nicknamed from it's formal name 'Familiar' - a witch's cat. The mother becomes concern and suspects that the cat is more than it is. The girl wants to help her uncle find him a wife.

Summary:
A story that deals with a girl growing up and taking control of her life. A life affirming drama, different from the stories of that time period on RMT but I liked it. The story could be played today to kids without being condescending, but would they sit and listen to radio?

NOTE:
I noticed that the show credits a child actor as Sarah Parker.
I once heard it is Sarah Jessica Parker, who would of been 12 years old at the time and in New York City working on Broadway show. Does anyone know if this is correct? None of the resources I have looked up have it listed in her credits.

Any assistance would be appreciated it.

A Preview Of Death

Airdate: 740824

Written by: Sam Dann
Cast:
Russell Horton, Staats Cotsworth, Claurice Blackburn, Robert Dryden, Marian Seldes

Story highlights:

In Helvasia, Colorado, a young safety inspector is pressured in approving a sky tram/alpine lift for a mountain resort town. His guilt becomes more intense when he dreams about meeting a woman, falling in love with and losing her when the mountain side collapses and she and the sky tram are lost. His fear and dread increases when he finds the dream woman is real and she booked to stay at Helvasia. He tries to find her and stop her and the disaster from occuring.

One story I remembered hearing from 1974, heard it again in 1989 and managed to recorded it to tape and then CD. A descent story and a good cast. I like it because the sincere way the main character tries to convince his sister and her husband about his vision. Also the way he interacts with the woman, Daphine Aldershotz! What a name!

Well, that's my two cents for day.

"Future Eye"
Episode #499
Airdate: 760719
Written by Alfred Bester

Cast:
Tony Roberts, Evie Juster, Court Benson, William Redfield,
Katherine Butterfield

Story Highlight:
In the 30th century, a supercomputer accidently transmits through time a data crystal containing the future history of the world for the next 1000 years. John Quinn, a temporal investigator ventures to 1976 to retrieve the data crystal before someone reads about future history and unravels the events to come. Assisted by the same supercomputer, Quinn has some mis-adventures in alternate timelines (an Earth where humanity destroyed itself and a USA domininated by Japanese occupation after losing World War II) before tracking the data crystal, in the shape of a match box. To add to Quinn's problems, the data crystal has transmitted the information into 100 copies of an Almanac.

Summary:
I always had a fondness for fascination for temporal/spatial adventures. I guess it's the "what if" factor. A carefully thought out and written story line that makes one ponder about how we interact and create our future by choices. Would knowing future events help or hinder our cause and what consequences would there be?

A bit of fun!
