does anyone have episodes that have all the commercials and news reports before and during the shows, edited out ?

Please don't edit the news out! I'm listening to the 1974 ones that talk about nixon and the impeachment process -- it's fascinating. Commercials, however, trash away! It was fun for awhile, but I'm really sick of the special K commercial!

I agree the Special K "Ball and Chain" commercials can get annoying. The one I really hate is the Diet 7Up with Goldilocks as a taste tester. I believe that is Bryna Raeburn doing the voice.

It easily ranks as one of the most annoying commercials ever.

I like alot of the New York commercials on the WOR broadcasts. Suburban Savings and Loan is pretty cool and Shop Rite Supermarkets are really cool.

Those commercials were and are part of the listening experience for me.

Purplechien, I'm delighted to have some company here in my hatred of the commercials. I posted something on this a long time ago and it seemed that no one agreed with me. Man, I just can't stand them--no more than I can stand any commercials today. The nostalgia I feel for CBSRMT does *not* extend to the ads.
