My understanding of the Streamload service is that files will not be deleted from unlimited storage unders certain conditions including:

1) Frequent downloading of the files

2) Large number of exact copies of the files resident on the Streamload service by different users.

Streamload does not indicated how many copies are necessary to qualify but I assume that proliferation to secure long term storage is a goal of this group. Am I correct and is there anything I can do to help?

Sorting through old posts. Sorry to be so long in answering.

I can't really answer completely but popular files don't seem to disappear.

the way i understand it, and i could be wrong (it's been known to happen occasionally ;) is that when a file is uploaded to free storage and sent to other users, the file itself is not duplicated, the new users merely gain access to that same file.

eg: the 1300 CBSRMT files exist only once in the streamload storage, but we all have access to the same files.

with paid storage, your uploaded files, or files transferred from free to paid, are hosted uniquely, in other words, if i copy my CBSRMT files to my paid storage, they will be duplicated into my own directory.

that's the way things work in my world smile.gif which does not necessarily reflect the common reality of others.
