Greetings,
I just signed up for the Freeload account at Streamload.com.
If you're still offering to transfer files, I'd be greatly appreciative.
Could you tell me, from your experience, will the account I have
at Streamload.com be enough to handle the transfer?
Any feedback would be terrific.
Peace & happiness to you,
Sonnie

Sonnie,
The offer stands and I'll ship them to you right away. The freeload account has it's limitations. You won't be able to get all of the shows because, if memory serves, Streamload limits the freeload accounts to files less than 10 megs. Many of the files exceed 10 megs so this poses a problem. To get you started, there are plenty of files that are less than 10 megs so you've got enough to pique your interest. We hope you'll participate in our forums and you can always get a fistful of programs, including the show of the week, at www.streamload.com/vgarci (http://www.streamload.com/vgarci)

Welcome aboard Sonnie. You'll find a Streamload tutorial posted in this forum as well if you have problems.

Thank you, Charlie & Vince!
I was able to find and successfully download a 9.9 MB show file without
any hangups... and I use a Mac!
My next question for you is regarding the Streamload Service.
It is a bit vague to me about the pricing info. The service looks great and
I am willing to subscribe, but do you all know much about how it works?
I guess what I am asking is, will I be able to download all the content
you have generously posted for me if I subscribe, even to the $4.95 Service or do I have to subscribe to something much larger in order to
retrieve everything?
Also, how long must I subscribe for? Is it a situation where I can cancel when I would prefer or am I locked into a contract?
Lastly, is this a safe purchase point. I didn't notice any HTTPS:// locales
when I visited the SUBSCRIBE section.
Any feedback you could provide would be wonderful.
Thank you again - I really cannot wait to get into listening to CBSRMT!!!
Best wishes,
Sonnie

Sonnie,
It's safe and you can trust them. They automatically re-bill but you can cancel anytime.
The collection is several gigs, I don't have that here. Someone else can chime in. It's over 10 gigs I believe so you will have to invest a bit.
Depending on your speed, you can download them all over time. I am on dial up so I downloaded 1 gig per month. If you are on high speed, you can go faster of course. smile.gif

When I first subscribed, I purchased the $4.95 option thinking i'd download 1GB per month until I had all the episodes. I ended up purchasing extra units twice because I was in the 'download groove smile.gif
$15 for 3GB.
Then I got smart and looked at the pricing again. :055:
For $19.95 you can download 15GB in a month. The entire collection is around 14GB so this is enough to grab the entire collection in one month. Certainly the cheapest way to go, but your internet service provider may not like it.
I went ahead and downloaded the entire collection in the space of 3 weeks - will ask forgiveness if I need to
You have to remember to downgrade your subscription after that though - I don't think I'll be downloading 15GB/month after I have them all.
Hope that helps with the decision.
cheers

I hold at the gig-a-month because I am checking out some other programs just for fun too. smile.gif

Sonnie,
I'll chime in with another option. I have a high speed connection so I could download a bunch but I don't need to anymore because I have a complete set. However, I went with the year's subscription (I'm in this for the long haul) for $79.95 and I can download 5 gigs per month and store 3 gigs of original space each month (never used this). I don't touch the download amount, now that I have the set, but I like to post shows so others can have access to them whether they are Streamloaders or not.
