Nice to find others into the same stuff. I just started into collecting OTR and found that CBSRMT and Suspense Theater are my favorites. I'm also pretty new at this computer stuff -so please pardon me if I mess up.
I tried to download some OTR from file sharer, but found that frustrating. Would sure like to find other ways. Help is definately needed if you can spare the time. Thanks for any advice. This Streamload thing sounds interesting-I guess I'll spend some time figuring it out. Any other methods?????? My username is axleone.
Thanks Craig

Hi Craig and welcome to the forums.
Streamload is the [b:3684747af8]best[/b:3684747af8] way to get the programs online. It works so good that I can hardly imagine a better way.
As of last evening, it seems that Streamload has upgraded their software the the new system that has been long promised. I marked all of the CBSRMT files in my account to be shared - which means that if you go on and search for "CBSRMT" or the name of any particular program, you should be able to find what you are looking for.
Give that a try and see how you do and if necessary, I will send the files directly to your account.

Signed up OK, Hit search tab------------Said it can only let me search for MY Files. Said PUBLICLY SEARCHABLE FILES were TEMPORARILY DISABLED!
Wonder how TEMPORARY? I'll try later.
Charley I sent you an E-mail.
Craig
PS: I was able to upload a 6M file in about 6 Min using cable.

Axleone,
Be patient with Streamload. They've been working on this upgrade for awhile, and once it's in place, the service should be more than outstanding.
Like I've said elsewhere, I used Streamload to get all but maybe 50 shows. WinMX and Bearshare are good for filling in holes although WinMX and its queing can try your patience.
If you have a dial-up, get the one gig a month option. If you have cable or DSL, opt for one of the bigger options. You'll have the whole set downloaded in no time.
I burned mine on to 28 separate CD's --- 50 to a CD. That gives you a little wiggle room to replace defective files --- a process I'm going through right now.
I'm working with several other people on building a quality "Master Set". I won't bore you with the details of that here. Visit the Yahoo Group if you are interested in the master set effort.

Brian,
Thanks for the info and guidence about Streamload. I am very interested in learning all I can but not very educated when it comes to computers, groups or downloading.
How does one visit the"yahoo group" you mentioned?
Having a cable modem makes me think I'd be in advantage to choose the 5g option for 9.95/Mo.
Any tips, hints or links you think I might find helpful would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to e-Mail.
THANKS, Craig

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cbsrmt/
The Yahoo! Group is everything in one forum with lots of ads and such - standard Yahoo! fare. Although, you can do it by e-mail too.
The person that started the group does not appear to be present so I think that the group goes unmoderated (but I have never seen a problem there).
I wish those folks would come over this way but I do not feel it is ethical to post something like that there. Plus, people tend to be pretty loyal to the Yahoo! Groups.

Charlie,
Got your files (52 CBSRAT) at STREAMLOAD. Thanks.
Boy am I Impressed!!!!
Downloading was a breeze using Get Right in the Batch (Automatic) mode.
After my first experience I have many questions. I'll ask them a few at a time.
1) After downloading should I just delete the files sent to me?
2) If I wanted to share files on Streamload how do I do it?
3) I don't understand 'UNIQUE STORAGE'??????
And Lastly I would love if ANYONE would make more files availiable to me--My favorites are CBSRMT and SUSPENSE but I'd appreciate anything you would send my way.
My Streamload user ID is axleone
Thanks,
Craig

The Yahoo group serves its purpose for me. Besides being a great group of people, the group there is really dedicated to researching, catalogueing, and improving the episodes that are available. It was this group who helped me get the complete set and I've been doing the research to give back to them.
In this group, (although I've been here just a short time), is good for informal discussions like this and I especially like the listening logs. You're more likely to get a question answered here.
I belong to both groups and enjoy them both. I'm pretty serious about the research, but I enjoy just chatting too.

Craig,
I sent all of the programs to you so I don't understand why you only received the CBSRAT files. Maybe the others will pop in.
To answer your other questions,
1) You don't have to.
2) You can place them in the shared folder on the new version of Streamload if you have upgraded to that one.
3) I will have to look at that one.
You should have received all of the programs. If you don;t have them by later today, let me know, and we will try it again.

Got all your files--- Thanks loads! I feel like Alice in Wonderland. You said there was no need to delete files? Are you saying they will always be there for me to download or listen as long as I continue to subscribe to Streamload without being charged storage??? If so then I don't have to fill up my HD just go there whenever I need them. That would be GREAT!
Also I've been trying to find where to "share files' without much success. Where exactly is the area to do this? I believe I have new vesion but how do I know if I do or not. And if not how do I upgrade?
Thanks for all your help.

Craig,
The files should remain in your account. If you have the new version the top folder should say "hosted" or something like that.
