OK so I've been downloading for a couple months now and have finally made it thru July 74 of CBSRMT. I am getting set to burn my first cd and have discovered that for some reason one ep will not play via my cd rom burning program. Now the ep plays just fine when I open it on my computer but once I move it into my cd program, it stops working and will not play. I've re-downloaded it thinking maybe something happened with no luck. I am far from mp3 cd burning savvy, I just use the program that came with my burner. Does anyone have any ideas about what my problem is? All help is greatly appreciated. I could make do without this ep except that of course my collection on CD would be incomplete. SIGH

What CD burning program do you use?

When you say it will not play from that program, I am wondering if you mean that it will not play from a burned CD. If that is not it, go ahead and burn a CD and see if the program will play from a CD.

It's called SimpliCD.

The problem is once I move the mp3 of this ep to my playlist to burn to the CD the ep becomes unplayable. My program says cannot play track. This is the only ep that this happens with. It's very strange. Like I said I can click on this ep in the folder that I have it saved on my C Drive and it plays just fine.

Okay ... is that happening when you try to play the file from the CD once you have burned it or will it not burn it?

If it will burn the CD, can you go into Windows Explorer and drag that file from the CD to your desktop and play it?

I can re-encode it if necessary.

No Charlie, I can't even burn the ep to a disk. Also it's now happened to another ep that was working just fine a couple weeks ago. I wonder if something is up with my computer.

Well, I am not sure (of course). It is something minor I think. Does your program truncate file names that are too large? All of the files are mp3 format I assume? Are you trying to put too many things on one CD?

Try changing the file name and see if it will burn then.

I realize these are all simple questions but I think it is a simple problem.
