Anytime now, we'll be welcoming the 300th person to Charlie's website. Who will it be? Who will it be?
Charlie,
I'm certainly impressed by the rate at which new members join and this milestone should tell you that many people appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

You guys do more work than me right now but I hope to spend more time here this fall and winter.
We've not yet been here a year and we are close to [size=24:7250a75e0b][b:7250a75e0b]300![/b:7250a75e0b][/size:7250a75e0b]

#300 is LPadron. He/she has not yet posted, but they filled out a profile and chose and avatar, so we can probably expect a post soon.
So happens that the Padron family makes the finest cigar known to man... Sure would be nice if I shared a common interest with one of THE Padrons. Then I might not have to pay $12.00 apiece for 1964 Anniversarios. My wife hates that.
It occurred to me that we have more members than the Yahoo board. People here are friendlier on the whole, I think. I did take a shot at a guy today who was very arrogant about getting the whole series for free, then leaving the group.

Charlie,
I credit you with setting a tone that is both pleasant and professional so I think Brian is right in that the folks here implicitly understand that kindness comes first. Also, I don't consider shipping files and posting "work" at all. It's truly been a pleasure to have found this site.

I agree with Vince entirely! Thank you Charlie for this site. It's about the best site in the Internet as far as I'm concerned. It's the one I visit most often.
Incidently, the guy on Yahoo took advantage of a guy who burns and ships entire sets in exchange for blank cd's. He does it out of kindness and a lot of people do there what they do here: Take the files and run without ever offering any input.
I don't think much of that, but never make an issue of it.
This particular guy kind of thumbed his nose at us, so I made a snide remark. It certainly didn't rise to the level of a flame. I always maintain decorum. It's necessary in my profession.

Brian,
You've never been anything but professional here and I think you might be being a bit hard on yourself with regards to the yahoo group. You've set a very high standard for giving back to this community and it's greatly appreciated.

Wow, I had no idea this forum is less than a year old. How cool. smile.gif It is a very nice place to come, that's for sure. The rest of the internet seems to have become poluted with people wanting to flame about everything. I've cut way back on my online time which also means I'm only here once in a while but I do enjoy reading the posts and answering any that relate to me in one way or another. smile.gif

Karen,
Yep, it's pretty cool that 4000+ posts and 300+ users have joined in less than a year. More importantly, I'm always impressed by the quality of people the CBSRMT topic has attracted to Charlie's site. While a flame may not be out of the question at some time in the future, I think we have a great group of people who like helping each other. It's a nice community.

With 1400 episodes, hundreds of commercials, and dozens of old news reports for each of us to listen to, there's no time for flaming. We've got to many other things to discuss.
Besides, what's to flame? Miles gave "Through the Looking Glass" a "10". I gave it a "1". I doubt Miles feels strongly enough about that episode to flame me for it.
I'm really dedicated to completing the searchable database project I've been working on. I'll get to all 1400 eventually. Only about 950 left, which will take me about three years, I figure.
