Now that motorcycle racing season is almost done, hopefully I will be able to make a more meaningful contribution here. At least until next spring!

Get your Streamloaders ready!

good stuff, ross... trust the racing season has concluded without incident or injury... honestly, that stuff scares me more than CBSRMT ;)

Ross,
I knew you raced cycles but do you care to share how serious you are about racing or if your season was successful?

My brother-in-law used to race motorcross in the Los Angeles area and was pretty successful in the late 1970s.

I wrecked a friend's Kawasaki KE 100 when I was 14 years old and racked myself up pretty bad. That ended any interest I had in motorcycles.

Well, it is a hobby, and an all-consuming one at that. Season went great, but I am hoping to do better next year. We raced in Vegas last weekend. That was great! I also introduced my racing partner to RMT on the ride back Sat. Night. He is hooked now! I also gave him the address to this board.

The final race is at Infineon (Sears Point) next weekend. I'm serious about it when I am on the track, but really, it is just for fun. I am too old and slow to worry about a career in it. Nothing beats railing around a corner at 100+ MPH though.

Keeps me off the streets!

Have to admit, I just don't have the nerve for that kind of thing.

I used to enjoy daredevil driving, but since I had children, it occurred to me that I might be mortal and probably ought to stop.

Hey Ross

Very cool picture. My heart rate and adrenaline are off the charts. I raced novice in late 85 and 86. I had a Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo that had lots of mods done to it. It was a definate sleeper. I never should have sold that bike!! Oh well, very good memories.

I guess forgetting to put those knee things on would be non-habit forming.

i used to ride a yamaha 65 or 80 growing up. i had a few bumps and bruises and landed on my head once. this was all done in some farmer's feilds and gravel pits.
my last experience was as a passenger on my cousin's v-45 0r v-64 or something. we hit a car head-on when she turned in front of us. no helmets. we only got a few bruises. God was keeping us safe. i guess i flew up and over my cousin and landed on the car hood and bounced to the pavement. i think i blacked out or just shut my eyes. the last thing i saw was that car getting closer and closer than i felt that hood and pavement. ouch.
after that, i winced every time i went through an intersection on a bike.
the only bike i ride now is a mountain bike.

i better not let my boys see your picture. they already want a dirt bike.
