I gotta let everyone know . . .
I live in Northern Indiana, about 1 mile from the Indiana/Michigan state line. Last weekend we have to go to Tennesse for my Niece's graduation - about a 9-10 hour trip. We fortunatley have a van with a TV in it (by the way, I have 4 kids). On the way back, the tv quit working -oh no.
So I plugged in some CBSRMT and my kids just ate it up. They are 6, 8, 11 and 15. My youngest ones liked the way the could see the plot in their minds. Me and my 11 year old son compared what we thought people looked like and it was so cool to hear his perspective. I have built a small fire pit in my back yard and take out some RMT and put them in the player. It is great family time.
So - again Thank you Charlie and Vince

That is really cool. I've been trying to get my 13 year old to listen to them. But so far, he's just not interested.

NDTim,
Great story - I've got a long road trip coming up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brian,
Don't give up because my 16 year old daughter listened quietly to her first program recently and when it was over, she suprised me with, "That was one really cool story." (Tim, this is the same daughter that is a huge ND fan and who wears the t-shirt you sent as often as possible). Now, my 19 year old daughter is getting into the programs and it brings a big smile to my face.

Tim,
That's great that they listened and liked the programs.
That's kind of funny because a lot of kids today are not interested in the older things. My girlfriend has a little granddaughter and she like to watch videos on the television and when she comes over she brings a bunch of tapes to watch. They are mostly these modern cartoons which to me are [b:e77e527e5f]stupid[/b:e77e527e5f] and nonsensical but she loves them. My girlfriend has tapes of ther Charlie Brown specials that we all watched as kids and we have some Bugs Bunny cartoons, Sylvester & Tweety, Flintstones, etc., and she is no more interested in that than anything. When I was a kid I loved Charlie Brown and thought those programs were great but she doesn't want to see any of that.
So, if your kids like CBSRMT, then that's great. I'm a big fan of the Radio Adenture Theater programs as well and I recommend those for kids. There are just 52 programs and they are [b:e77e527e5f]good[/b:e77e527e5f]!
I think kids today are presented much more stimulating entertainment in a bad sense. It doesn't develop brainpower as much as it numbs you.

Charlie,
Considering cartoons: remember, we grew up in the age when we had the master of all voices - Mel Blanc. Those were they days!

My son is a huge fan of Anime' which I just hate. He likes Pokemon and YU-GI-OH.
It reminds me too much of "Speed Racer". God, I hated that cartoon. I like Japanese cars, but I hate their movies and cartoons.
